Summary

Habit is designed to be private by default. The habits you create, your daily check-ins, streaks, and reminder times stay on your device. We do not run accounts, we have no servers that store your habit data, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking. The only information that leaves your device is what Apple and our subscription provider need to process and restore in-app purchases.

1. Information we do not collect

• We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts.
• We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we perform no tracking.
• We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

2. Information stored on your device

All of your app content is stored locally on your device using the operating system’s on-device database (SQLite). This includes:

• Habit names, notes, icons, colors, and schedules
• Daily completion logs and streak history
• Per-habit and global reminder times
• App preferences (theme, week start, language, haptics)

This data is never transmitted to us. It is included in your device’s encrypted backups (iCloud or Finder/iTunes) only if you have those backups enabled, and it is governed by Apple’s backup privacy terms, not ours. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.

3. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Habit offers an optional paid subscription (“Pro”). We do not process payments ourselves and we never see your payment card or Apple ID.

• Apple processes the transaction through the App Store under Apple’s own privacy policy.
• RevenueCat, Inc. is our subscription-management provider. To verify your entitlement and let you restore purchases across devices, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app-user identifier and your purchase/transaction details (product purchased, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status). This identifier is not linked to your name or email. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf and provides equivalent protection for it.
